PERSON INVESTIGATED IN CHASEN MURDER COMMITS SUICIDE
Associated Press is reporting that Beverly Hills detectives were serving a search warrant at a building about 6 p.m. Wednesday when they located the man and attempted to speak with him.
LAPD Capt. Kevin McClure said the man pulled a weapon and shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that the investigation is not over.
Ronnie Chasen was a revered promoter who promoted the Oscar-winning film "Driving Miss Daisy" and other major movies and stars since the 1970s.
A retired lieutenant who served with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's office for 38 years told the Associated Press after reviewing preliminary coroners reports; "the thing that stands out is the shots — where they were and the lack of hits anywhere else," The close grouping suggests the shooting was carried out by a hit man and was not the result of a gang attack or road rage, the retired lieutenant told the AP.
Well, Gossip Pearls said this before, look for someone in the entertainment industry, someone she knew, someone angry because they lost an Oscar, because she wouldn't represent them.
This is getting more interesting as time goes on. Who could it be!?!?!
