TMZ is reporting today that Bret Michaels is suing organizers of the Tony Awards and CBS claiming the brain hemorrhage caused by the accident nearly killed him.
Michaels is claiming that he was not properly instructed on how to exit safely from the stage after his performance. The 48 year old rocker was hit in the face by a piece of set while exiting the stage.
Bret suffered a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage six months after the awards and Michaels says it was no coincidence.
Bret says producers have "failed and refused" to remedy the situation ... and even blamed him for the mishap at the Tony Awards, claiming he "missed his mark."
Michaels is suing for unspecified damages, reports TMZ.
